Job Description
1. Bathe (put on deodorant and lotion (arms, back, and legs))
2. Grooming (comb/brush hair)
3. Toileting
4. Transferring
5. Ambulation
6. Brush teeth/Clean dentures
7. Clean glasses
8. Prepare meals
9. Assist to eat/feed (cut meats, open drinks, use straws etc.)
10.Make bed
11.Change bed (when soiled, at least once per week)
12.Clean areas used by client (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, den, living room)
13. Wash dishes
14. Empty all trash cans
15. Wash laundry as needed
16. Restock supplies
17. Clean out refrigerator every week
18. Make grocery/supply list
19. Medication reminding (includes actual putting in client’s hand)
20. Document in communication book (if you don’t chart it, it didn’t happen)
21. Check mailbox prn
22. Put large trash cans out on pick up day
23. Go with client to doctor appointments prn
24. Encourage fluids
25. Promote quality of life for your client
26. Keep all information about your client confidential
27. Do not accept gifts, tips, or presents without notifying the office
