Do you love food and cooking, but not the crazy hours of most kitchen work? Our kitchen staff works regular 9am to 5pm hours, and creates delicious food in a positive work environment. Greenwood Grocery is looking for friendly, energetic, and hard-working food lovers to join our team. Our main focus is on promoting local goods and the folks who craft them, including a wide range of produce, meats, groceries, wines and beers. We also have a kitchen that prepares sandwiches and salads as well as seasonally driven, locally sourced entrees, sides, and sweets.

For kitchen staff, the ideal candidate will have some minimal kitchen experience and be willing to learn and work hard. We value folks who are enthusiastic about working with us to support local producers as well as provide our community with high-quality food that nourishes on multiple levels.
We are located on Route 250, less than a half-mile west of exit 107 off I64. Only 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville - a quicker and more beautiful commute than driving across town!
These are permanent (not seasonal), full-time or part-time positions that include some weekends, but no late hours.
Position:
Sandwich Maker/Prep Chef
Duties: Fulfill sandwich orders throughout the day, prep components, assist with cleanup.
Requisites: Must be energetic with a healthy work ethic, good team player, kitchen experience preferred.
