Tailwind, a national airport concessionaire, operates airport concessions at 22 airports across the country. This location is looking for a strong, seasoned leader who is excited to operate multiple high volume venues inside of the Charlottesville, VA airport.


-Partners with the GM to lead a rock star team

-Supervising staff to maximize restaurant operations

-Understand completely; all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs set forth by the Tailwind Management Company.

-Work as a member of the team to ensure success in all areas of the restaurant.

-Fill in where needed to ensure that service standards and efficient operations are met.

-Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment at all times.

-Report to work punctually and assist in the event of an emergency outlined within restaurant standards and all Tailwind policies.

-Keep your location adequately staffed to ensure all food and beverage areas are appropriately maintained and service standards are kept to Tailwind specifications.

-Ensure safe, responsible and legal serving of all alcoholic beverages.

-Ensure that equipment is maintained as outlined in the restaurant safety and preventive maintenance program.

-Treating both hourly employees and members of the Management team with professionalism and respect.

-Ensure that all product is received in correct unit, count and condition as well as the correct pricing. Also ensure that deliveries are performed in accordance to restaurant receiving policies and procedures.

-Always available to work at any time during restaurant hours.


-Adequate communication and understanding of the predominant language(s) of the restaurants operating area.

-Capable of working in a standing position for long periods of time (minimum of 8 hours a day).

-Capable of reaching, bending, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.

-Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

-Some weekend days required as well as mornings and evenings.


-Must have at least 3 years experience of restaurant management. Please no resumes if you have less than 3 years experience.

-Strong kitchen and grill experience.

-Must be able to pass a background check to receive an airport badge.

-Must have reliable transportation


-Compensation commensurate with experience.
