Commonwealth Restaurant & Skybar on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, is looking for some new faces to join our team!
We are a completely unique Charlottesville restaurant serving Modern Virginian Cuisine. Menus change seasonally to capture the spirit and the bounty of our local producers.
The Skybar is a breathtaking open air bar that sits above the historic Downtown Mall and offers a full menu as well as award-winning cocktails and a refined selection of beers. Skybar shares Commonwealth's innovative dinner menu, but does not take reservations & operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are seeking the following positions:
Bartender - Seeking enthusiastic bartender with the talent and knowledge to make classic cocktails and create innovative craft cocktails. Applicant should be able to maintain exceptional customer service and guest experience while staying focused on all bar duties.
Two years experience a must.
Craft Cocktail knowledge a plus.
High Volume experience desired.
Bar Back - Seeking strong individual with the desire to learn about the restaurant and bar industry. Must be able to lift and move kegs, full boxes of beer, wine and liquor. The bar back is a very important role in a bartender's night. Bar back stocks, beer, wine, liquor, juices, fruit, etc. The bar back keeps bartenders stocked throughout the night, keeps up with washing and stocking glassware, and does closing cleaning duties w/ bartenders.
Experience preferred but not necessary.
