Seeking a pharmacy technician to float between 2 pharmacies with 2 different computer systems.
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Certified Pharmacy Technician located in Stanardsville and Madison, VA. The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution, providing customer service, and performing administrative tasks. Day-to-day tasks include accurately preparing and labeling prescriptions, maintaining patient medication records, managing inventory, and providing information to patients about medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Qualifications
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
Knowledge of pharmacy medication distribution systems and processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage inventory and maintain patient records
Proficiency with pharmacy software and technology
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in pharmacy or healthcare-related field is a plus
