THE ALBEMARLE COUNTY SERVICE AUTHORITY HAS THE FOLLOWING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
Maintenance Administrative Assistant
Position Summary: Working under the direction of the Operations Manager and Supervisors, the Maintenance Administrative Assistant will primarily provide administrative assistance and clerical support for the entire Maintenance Department. This position will coordinate and maintain data entry, recordkeeping, and tracking of essential Maintenance functions such as work orders, vehicle usage, work logs, testing, and procurement.
Duties Include: Preparing, proofreading, and editing memos, letters, reports, forms, and documents, Assisting in developing and improving office procedures including developing and updating SOPs for essential Maintenance functions, Coordinate testing and training for Utility Workers, Track data related to job orders, sewer and water forms, work orders, vehicle usage, and recall and warranty work on vehicles and equipment, Place inventory orders and take counts, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of standard office practices and equipment. A demonstrated high degree of skill in word processing and databases. Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and maintain effective working relationships. General knowledge of ACSA Mission and Goals, as well as ACSA policies and procedures and the ability to interpret and apply them. Background in purchasing and inventory preferred. Responsible level of assistance to Maintenance staff. Some college education or equivalent is preferred and have at least three years of experience in Administration.
Hiring Range: $41,131 - $49,357
