We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team for the holiday season. Hours - Part-time, but could be full-time for the ideal candidate

Pay - $13.50+ per hour, depending on experience

About us: For 51 years, Shenanigans Toy Store has been part of the Charlottesville community. A woman-owned business with a passion for educating, growth, development, and play!

Responsibilities:

-Provide prompt and attentive service to customers and their children, assisting them by identifying their needs and offering product recommendations to exceed expectations.

-Perform various tasks related to point-of-sale operations, including customer lookup, processing cash, credit, and check transactions, as well as handling returns and exchanges.

-Uphold standards of integrity and professionalism throughout the work environment.

-Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all products and services to effectively engage with customers, highlighting features and benefits.

-Respond courteously and informatively to inquiries regarding products, services, and pricing via telephone.

-Stand for extended periods, as well as the ability to bend, kneel, climb a ladder and lift items weighing up to 30 pounds when necessary.

-Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to ethically resolve issues with minimal conflict.

-Display a commitment to professionalism and a strong work ethic.

-Possess excellent communication and organizational abilities.

-Embrace the unique culture of the store and embody the Shenanigans brand through professional selling and superior customer service.

-Efficiently close sales transactions and promote repeat business.

-Collaborate with team members to carry out various daily tasks, including sales, gift wrapping, restocking, maintaining store displays, ensuring cleanliness, handling phone calls, and managing inventory shipment and receipt.
