L&W Supply is a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors. L&W Supply delivers the products and capabilities offered by a national distributor paired with the service and personal touch usually found only in a locally owned business.
L&W Supply is looking for a service oriented Outside Sales Representative to cultivate relationships and take its sales to the next level.
Specific Outside Sales Representative duties may include:
â¢Cultivating and managing customer relationships
â¢Conduct all steps of the sales process with customers
â¢Create and pursue customer leads
â¢Create a sales plan and target customers accordingly
â¢Identify and execute on opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell
â¢Making cold calls to prospective customers
â¢Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
â¢Following up with customers and providing solutions, should a service concern arise
â¢Providing training to customers and their teams on various product lines and services
â¢Direct the creation of quotes for customers
â¢Solicit feedback from customers on products and services and provide to the Sales Manager and/or Branch Manager for appropriate follow-up action
â¢Gather competitive market and pricing information
â¢Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
Specific qualifications for the Outside Sales Representative position include:
â¢College degree (Business, Sales or other related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
â¢Specific industry knowledge, including both familiarity with product lines and the overall building contractor process, is preferred
â¢Proven experience in business development and strong sales skills
â¢Valid driverâs license, clean driving record, and own reliable vehicle
â¢Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
â¢Professional appearance and demeanor
â¢Superior time-management and organization skills
â¢Positive, team-oriented attitude
