Lacy is searching for an experience, motivated Sheet Metal Foreman to join our well-established, growing company. The Sheet Metal Foreman supervises, coordinates, inspects and performs the assembly, installation and repair of duct systems and components/equipment during the construction, finish-out or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Essential Functions:
Makes essential project decisions and recognizes limits, including planning, coordination, trouble-shooting, and escalation of issues to superintendent/project management
Identifies and responds to project needs, demonstrating a flexibility to drive production while keeping up with administrative tasks, project layout, and planning
Creates a plan of operation on all duct systems on a project from start to finish, including sequencing of tasks to finish systems
Installs all of the system connection points in the field to accept prefabricated assemblies
Performs a two-week look ahead pertaining to project schedule and milestones
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalency
5 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, with 2 years of Sheet Metal Mechanic supervisory experience preferred
Valid Drivers License
OSHA 30 Certification
Practices responsible behavior no alcohol, drugs, or firearms allowed on any Lacy project
Understanding of construction workplaces and safety practices (signage, etc.)
Demonstrates leadership and quality standards and mannerisms
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of mechanical codes and SMACNA standards
Demonstrates an understanding of general construction and coordinated/related trades
Demonstrates the ability to foresee and prevent trade-related issues, along with their successful resolution
