The Paint Prep will also be responsible for assisting with packaging and crating of pumps. This position regularly requires work near moving mechanical parts. It occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Respirator Test not required.Responsibilities

Preparing for the painting of pumps.

Preparing pumps for shipment which may include wrapping and/or custom crating.

Responsible for quality of work performed; work efficiently and ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.- Ability to perform the job with minimal supervision.

Understand and operate material Handling equipment properly and safely.

Work in a high noise level environment.

Ability to switch priorities as needed.

Perform all part finishing activities including sandblast, parts finishing.

Must wear safety protection according to company policy.

Maintain a clean and orderly workplace

Requirements:

Work experience in a shop or mechanical atmosphere.

Attention to Detail for taping and masking purposes.

Ability to use power hand tools safely and effectively.

Adhere to safe work habits, rules, and practices, including the correct use of tools, machines, safety devices and equipment.

Exhibit behaviors that contribute toward an environment that encourages team building, decision making, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Need to have related painting experience or training.

Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.

Position requires occasional walking; also requires stretching, twisting, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Vision requirements for this position are close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Able to work overtime as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Painting experience preferred or knowledge of Industrial painting processes

Packaging and Crating of Pumps

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
