Review the position below and apply today.We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position.This position does not offer relocation assistance.Job SummaryAssists in scientific studies and projects related to air or water quality, solid waste, toxics, or similar environmental programs. Assists company and consulting teams on environmental projects such as air quality, NPDES, wetland and stream encroachment permitting studies or inspection, surface and groundwater programs, toxics programs, and environmental assessments. Assists with report analysis, data management, and report preparation. Assists in problem analysis and developing compliance strategies. Assists in conducting training. Assists in inspecting. Assists in writing and editing reports related to environmental programs. Trains in environmental permitting.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience0-2+ years related experience;Basic working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations specific to the work location;Basic working knowledge of environmental operating permits and regulations specific to the work site, if responsible for contracted assets;Basic written and oral communication skills;Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);Basic logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches;Basic, respectful assertiveness, to ensure environmental compliance requirements are met by others, while considering the spirit and letter of the law;Basic interpersonal skills, to interface with internal stakeholders effectively;Ability to work under established policies and procedures;Ability to meet set schedules and system or program requirements;Ability to give full attention to others, to take time understanding the points being made, and to ask questions;Ability to assist in preparing compliance and regulatory documents and reports;Ability to assist with analysis and record keeping;Ability to embrace collaborative problem solving;Ability to communicate appropriately for audience needs;Ability to share information;Ability to facilitate open idea exchange;Ability to adapt actions;Ability to remain professional while delivering high-quality, reliable, environmental services to customers.Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of educationPreferred Discipline(s): Engineering, ScienceOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.Licenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionNot applicableWorking ConditionsOffice Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%Other Working ConditionsMay be required to work in a field environment and exposed to extreme temperature and weather 25 to 50%.Test DescriptionNo Testing RequiredExport ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
