As a Yard Jockey, you will be responsible for the movement of trailers with the use of a powered industrial truck to move loaded and empty trailers to and from dock and yard as designated to facilitate warehouse sorting and the processing of merchandise for shipment or storage and ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. You must be forklift certified and have the ability to sit on a powered industrial truck and position the body to drive backward for extended periods of time. Schedule is Wednesday – Sunday 6am-until completion. Bilingual a plus.
Requirements
Must have 2 years of spotter, yard jockey, or similar experience, Forklift certification required.
Ability to sit on a powered industrial truck for extended periods. Follow instructions and keep complete and legible records.
A high degree of attention is required to prevent injury to others.
Ability to position body to drive backward for extended periods. Ability to judge distances and heights. Have a good sense of balance.
Ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs. if necessary.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.
