The Navy's Enterprise Authoritative Data Environment (eADE) system team is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team.This is a Remote opportunity.The program overall will maintain Navy O&M and Research/Development/Test and Evaluation (RDTE) for Navy Personnel and Pay systems. The eADE team will apply an authoritative data sharing framework that supports data analytics and business intelligence functions to the HR systems.How a Data Scientist will Make an Impact:Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems. Coordinates with business and technology teams:
Design and develop statistical analyses (including predictive, inferential, supervise, non-supervised, ensemble and clustering)
Visualize the output of statistical models, and present and interpret the output for the corresponding client audience and group
Perform initial ETL and cleaning as necessary in preparation for modeling
Perform exploratory data analysis and model-fitting to reveal data features of interest to include: machine learned and predictive modeling, bi-weekly updates on assigned models
Design and develop visualization products which take complex information from multiple data sources and create appealing interactive data visualizations
Design, develop and support statistical and predictive analytics dashboards and reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik
Create and maintain report specifications and process documentations as part of the required data deliverables
Communicate with key stake holders and technical teams to achieve project objectives, delivering cross functional visualization solutions
Development, maintenance and enhancement of the organizations data infrastructure and reporting environment; and identifies and implements opportunities to improve or standup data driven decision making across the organization
Ensure all data management activities are conducted in accordance with high quality standards and compliant with DoD and DON regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business or a similar field
Eight (8) years of relevant experience in data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science or software engineering as pertains above
