Lee, VA.Description: The Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) Field Support Technician is responsible for providing dedicated automation support to various logistics automation systems and fully supports the US Army Logistics Information System (LIS).Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :Provide functional and technical support for, but not necessarily inclusive of, the following LIS: GCSS-Army, AFMIS, AFMIS POS, AFMIS AHC, TC-AIMS, MC4, SAAS, CSS-VSAT, and CAISI 2.0. Have an understanding of the interface between the aforementioned systems and systems that interface.

Distribute new Army LIS/equipment to SASMO customers; distribute new Software Packages, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Incremental Change Packages (ICP) to SASMO customers and maintain Historical Library of System Software and Change Packages.

Maintain and Issue Logistic Information System (LIS) “Floats”, monitor Contract and Maintenance Support (Warranty/Maintenance Repair), provide User Level LIS Sustainment Training, restore equipment to operation by replacement of line replaceable unit, troubleshoot automation equipment and systems to the degree required for isolation of malfunctions to specific hardware or software.

Assist in IAVA compliance and patching requirements through the review of weekly ACAS scans provided by local network enterprise centers.

Basic Qualifications :Must be capable of performing analysis of system operations and have knowledge/experience in the utilization of operating systems and database management systems with working experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems.

Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.

Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual individual peripheral devices.

Must be capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including: hardware configurations, adding, removing and replacing hardware components, use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools, reading of electronic circuit schematics, or as otherwise as detailed in the job description.

Knowledge of U.S. Army Logistical information system (LIS) specific software and hardware on a functional, technical, and managerial level and in diverse operating environments.

Ability to satisfy the standards of fitness for deployment, fulfill the requirement of deployment, and maintain this requirement to the most-demanding regions of the world (standards of fitness include: general physical, mental, and dental health standards, medication requirements, and body mass index (BMI) calculations).

Capable and proficient with writing reports using MS Office applications.

Your ability to travel and accept temporary assignments at other locations (CONUS and/or OCONUS).

ACTIVE Secret Clearance.

Current IA Level II Certification to meet DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification.

Security Clearance Requirements:Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:Requires travel up to 50%.

Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Ability to move around inside an office and in the field sites or deployed location;

Ability to operate a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine and computer printer;

Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder and or stairs to access work areas;

Ability to position self to maintain computer systems including under desks, in rack systems and in military tactical vehicles;

Ability to complete repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and or fingers;

Ability to operate a motor vehicle;

Ability to communicate frequently with customers and coworkers with ability to exchange accurate information in these situations;

Ability to see words and graphics on computer screens and in printed paper documents;

Occasionally move and or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds between offices and in deployed locations;

Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
