Sr. Accountant

Description This role handles essential tasks, such as financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes

Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

Participate in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

Experience with ERP systems

SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

Comprehensive knowledge of bank reconciliations

Command of general ledger

Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

Able to manage time well

Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
