The Law Office of Dance & Waldman, PLLC is looking for a full time Legal Assistant with an immediate start date. If selected, the candidate would be responsible for:

- Greeting clients and visitors, both by telephone and in person, in a friendly and professional manner;

- Answering phone lines on a multi-line phone system and routing callers to the proper team member;

- Getting back to people by proper monitoring of missed calls, voicemails, text massages and emails;

- Calendaring and scheduling appointments, hearing dates and other important events;

- Responding to client inquires/leads including current as well as prospective clients;

- Organizing, scanning and processing mail, faxes, emails and packages;

- Processing client intake paperwork and receiving payments;

-Producing documents for court proceedings, and correspondence to clients, courts and other attorneys.

-Handling light to moderate dictation and producing documents therefrom.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma + Some College;

- MUST have a Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a law firm or courthouse clerks office;

- knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures;

- knowledge of computers and relevant software applications;

- knowledge of customer service principles and practices;

- keyboard skills;

-Familiarity with Domestic Relations Law

Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. hours subject to change

Potential employee must have excellent time management skills, strong communication skills, hard work ethic, be self-motivated, a fast-learner, reliable, on-time and detail oriented.
