Firearms Sales Associate
Job Summary:
The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers in the selection, purchase, and safe handling of firearms and related accessories. This role requires strong knowledge of firearms, compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, and exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Customer Assistance: Assist customers in choosing the right firearm and accessories based on their needs, preferences, and intended use.
· Firearms Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of various types of firearms, ammunition, and related equipment.
· Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal firearms laws and regulations, including background checks and waiting periods.
· Sales: Promote sales by explaining product features, benefits, and safety guidelines to customers.
· Safety: Educate customers on safe firearm handling practices and storage options.
· Paperwork: Complete all required paperwork for firearm transactions, including Form 4473 and background check documentation.
· Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and resolve customer concerns or issues.
· Training: Stay up-to-date with industry trends to expand knowledge.
· Security: Ensure the security of firearms in the store, following store policies and security protocols.
Qualifications:
· At least 21 years of age with knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories.
· Familiarity with local, state, and federal firearms laws and regulations.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
· Customer service experience preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Must pass background checks and meet age requirements for firearm sales.
· Preference to Law Enforcement or Military
