As a Mechanic at PAYNE TRUCKING, you are part of the best team in town! You will be asked to work together with other highly skilled technicians; while doing major and minor repairs, you will test and diagnose problems and complete maintenance tasks. At PAYNE TRUCKING we set a high bar to work as a TEAM!

Responsibilities:
Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our drivers.
Doing preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailers (DUMP and VAN)
Repairing and troubleshooting components such as, engines, transmissions and differentials, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
Keeping your work area clean and safe
Using our Software to diagnose and repair today’s systems
Learning new skills through PACCAR Training
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by Management

Qualifications:
2 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
Experienced using tools of the trade (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)
Valid driver’s license required
The ability to solve problems
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
The ability to work well as part of a team
Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
Basic computer skills
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work place
