Responsibilities
Identifying prospective carriers to build a pipeline of service providers
Booking freight service through carriers for clients
Gathering information from clients to determine shipping needs
Coordinating the pickup and drop off shipments
Monitoring the progress of shipments to ensure that goods arrive promptly and undamaged
Advising clients on potential supply chain issues
Skills
High school diploma or GED.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems is a plus
Be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written fashion
Proficiency required in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
