Principal Accountabilities:
▸ Troubleshooting, ensuring proper maintenance and operational status of equipment, using a variety of hand tools to set up, break down, adjust production line machinery, and performing other duties pertaining to hydraulics and pneumatics
▸ Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
▸ Ensuring food safety and quality, along with cleanliness and housekeeping
▸ Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment; standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in designated areas of the facility
▸ Requirements:
▸ Ability to read, write and speak English
▸ Ability to work with a variety of hand tools
▸ Must be able to understand and use blueprints, schematics, and installation/operation manuals to install and repair equipment
▸ Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical principles
▸ Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts
▸ Accuracy, precision and dependability are a necessity
▸ Must be a self-starter and have good communication skills
▸ Must be a team player, but also must be able to work well alone
▸ Specific eye requirements: No contact lenses allowed in engine room when welding or electrical troubleshooting and repair
Preferred Qualifications:
▸ Previous Production or maintenance experience
▸ 4 years maintenance experience
▸ Previous Cargill Experience
▸ Work history in past 12 months
▸ Must have knowledge of OSHA regulations governing this area
▸ Currently enrolled or have completed an apprenticeship program or have an equivalent educational background
▸ Experience in solid state controls and devices including PLC
▸ Frequency drives and HIM is a plus
