Location: Herndon, VA Zip Code: 20172 Allocation: 1.0 (full-time) School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) We are currently seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our new therapy services team in Herndon, VA. This clinician will provide in-person direct services, write progress reports/IEPs, and be a collaborative clinician for a caseload of K-12 students. Your caseload will primarily consist of students in a K-5th elementary school with some time being spent at a nearby high school. You will become an essential part of the team, working closely with students, families, and educators to provide quality speech and language services. School-based and/or pediatric experience working with K-12th grade children.

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Valid VA SLP license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech needs and identify growth areas for students based on academic impact.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students.

Work closely with classroom teachers and other disciplines to meet students' speech and language needs.

Monitor student progress through observations and data collection, allowing for any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Maintain open and regular communication with caregivers, sharing updates, and offering strategies to promote continued growth at home.
