Looking for a female care giver to provide care for an elderly patient in the Rustburg area.
Duties include but are not limited to assisting with all activities of daily living, cooking, minor house work (dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, kitchen cleaning), laundry, some pet care, administering medications, diaper changes and bathing, and occasionally running errands. Hours needed are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:30am-1:30pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. This is a split-shift, meaning each day working morning for the hours listed as well as coming back in the evening for the hours listed. Working on holidays is required if the holiday lands on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. If hired, you will be caring for the patient in the patient's home.
Previous experience working with the elderly and/or disabled is required. Experience using a Hoyer Lift is preferred.
Compensation: $13.61 per hour
Requirements:
Dependable, trustworthy, self motivated, and teachable; able to lift at least 50 pounds; have your own reliable transportation; pass a background check and be able to submit necessary paperwork electronically to the agency we work with (PPL), and in a timely manner; need to be comfortable with pets as the patient has a small lovable little dog.
