Your job duties are to make sure we are in compliance with the local, state, and federal regulations (e.g. OSHA standards to ensure legal safety requirement are met also you will need to stay up to date on the latest safety codes and guidelines and incorporate them into the jobs site’s safety practices. Ensuring all safety equipment is in good working condition and easily accessible, monitoring the use of PPE to ensure all personnel wear the required gear, keep an updated emergency plan. Responsible for recognizing fall hazards and warning workers about them, inspecting the jobs and making sure all the safety protocols are being followed. Address unsafe behaviors immediately and provide corrective feedback to mitigate risks and report those behaviors and actions to your supervisor. Documenting and maintaining safety records (e.g. safety inspections, incidents, corrective actions that were applied when the protocols aren’t being followed.)
Essential Skills and Qualifications for Safety Monitor Position:
Driver’s License is Required.
Knowledge of OSHA Standards and other relevant safety regulations.
Strong observational skills to spot potential safety issues before they lead to accidents.
Excellent communication skills to effectively train workers, report hazards, and collaborate with
management.
Detail-oriented to ensure all aspects of the site meet safety standards.
Problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards and develop practical solutions.
Ability to remain calm and composed during emergency situations to ensure a prompt and effective
response.
