The assistant manager's primary function of this position is to provide prompt and courteous service to retail and wholesale customers over the phone, in the store, or in the dealer's shop. This person must be able to look up parts applications in the NAPA Parts catalogs or in TAMS. An assistant manager mustprocess orders for customers with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy. He/She will be required to assist and advise customers in determining how to best meet their needs, often dealing with questions and problems of a highly technical nature. It is essential, therefore,that he or she have good business judgment, a thorough understanding of automotive systems, and excellent selling skills. The assistant manager must also exhibit a thorough knowledge of NAPA products, performance standards, warranties, sales programs, and operating policies. This person will have direct contact with customers and, therefore, neatness in personal appearance is important. The ability to establish and maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner is a must.The assistant manager also serves as a resource for advice to other store employees. The assistant manager must effectively manage the store inthemanager'sabsence. The assistant manager is also responsible for knowing the opening and closing procedures of the store as well as any other duties assigned by the store manager.
Must have automotive partsand retail sales experience
Bilingual Spanish/English speaking preferred
Experience in heavy duty parts and automotive paint a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical school and/or college degree a plus
Previous supervisor experience
ASE parts certification a plus
Ability toaccept aflexible schedule including weekends and some holidays if needed
Beself-motivated and posess initiative to accomplish company goals
