Center 2 (19050), United States of America, McLean, VirginiaSr Associate - Accounting, Close and SEC ReportingJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated professional that is interested in working in a collaborative and dynamic financial services company to join our Close & SEC Reporting team. This Senior Associate will be focused on the accurate and timely compilation of monthly and quarterly close materials, which have a high degree of visibility with senior leadership. We are looking for a curious-minded individual that enjoys working with data and collaborating across multiple teams in order to reach company-wide and organizational-wide goals.Major Responsibilities

Act as the central point of contact for line of business accounting teams to ensure month end and quarter end close materials are completed

Run and extract data to populate close materials, prepare analytical reviews and validation processes

Act as owner of our third-party system (Workiva), including managing access, updates, data rollforwards, etc.

Communicate monthly and quarterly results to peers, both through formal and informal channels

Lead the analysis of segment and total company financial results to draft MD&A language in our 10-Q and 10-K, as well as support other reporting areas as needed

Assist with and drive process improvements and support implementation of automated financial tools

Support control processes and engage with audit and compliance groups as necessary

Support ad-hoc research projects, peer analysis, disclosure update proposals, etc.

Support broader enterprise initiatives

Ideal candidate should possess

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks

Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or military experience

At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

At least 1 year of financial analysis experience

At least 1 year of financial and accounting reporting systems experience (Workiva a plus)

At least 1 year of financial institution experience
