A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in support of a government customer. This position is primarily remote, occasional onsite work in DC will be required. The Systems Engineer will be assisting the migration of an Active Directory domain into a greenfield domain environment.
Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position. Valid religious or medical exemptions/requests will be reviewed by HR. Responsibilities:
Evaluate/document the configuration of the Active Directory environment
Assist with discovery and remediation of objects, apps, and services for readiness
Evaluate existing Active Directory implementation including discovery of active AD Objects Remediation of Active Directory Integrated Applications and Resources for co-existence
Work with business units to determine AD integrated application and if changes are required for migration
Document necessary changes, impact on users, and determine specifications for the new domain controller
Develop SOPs for management and administration of the AD environments
Define roles and responsibilities for ongoing management and maintenance
Qualifications/Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of higher education and work experience
5 years of experience
Advanced experience with current Microsoft Server operating systems and services: 2012 and 2016
Experience with Enterprise Microsoft Active Directory Design, implementation, and support beyond general administration
Working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, CLI, or equivalent)
Experience with Microsoft's Enhanced Security Administrative Environment
Certifications: MCSE
Work Status: due to government requirements, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
