Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and driven individuals to join our team as Outreach Agents for our Free Cellphones ACP Program. As an Outreach Agent, you will be responsible for promoting and enrolling eligible individuals in our program, ensuring that everyone has access to a reliable means of communication. Marketing is setup at events with tents or in the community to engage with customers needing assistance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of the Free Cellphones ACP Program within targeted communities, including low-income neighborhoods, senior centers, and community organizations.
Engage with potential participants and explain the benefits of the program, including free cellphones and basic service plans.
Screen individuals to determine eligibility for the program based on predetermined criteria.
Assist eligible participants with the enrollment process, including completing necessary paperwork and verifying documentation.
Provide information and answer questions about cellphone features, service plans, and usage.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, participant interactions, and program enrollments.
Collaborate with the program management team to develop and implement outreach strategies to reach enrollment targets.
Represent the organization at community events, fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
Requirements:
Passion for helping others and addressing the needs of underserved populations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse individuals.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude toward participants.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in using mobile devices.
Prior experience in community outreach, social services, or sales is a plus but not required.
Fluency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish or other commonly spoken languages in the community, is advantageous.
