C TechniciansJob DescriptionTo serve as the primary VA certifying official by reviewing claims for VA benefits, primarily for Post-911 GI Bill recipients, and by submitting certifications/verifications through the VA-ONCE portal on a regular basis, both pre- and post-registration. To assist students with questions related to VA benefits, in-person, over the phone, and via email. To monitor the University’s VA Work-Study program. Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing. There may be occasions where the employee will be asked to work during university closings as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).Type of RecruitmentKnowledge, skills and abilitiesConsiderable knowledge of customer service techniques.
