COHIBA Restaurant & Bar is seeking a Kitchen Manager for our new restaurant in the Hickory area of Chesapeake!
Job Description:
Leader with desire to achieve success in the hospitality industry. Responsible for overall culinary operations.
Areas of importance include: cost, inventory, personnel, sales, and culture.
Qualities & Requirements:
-Great work ethic and solid work history.
-Polished appearance, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and guests.
-Passion for service, commitment to uncompromising quality and strong attention to detail.
-The drive and willingness to succeed.
-Minimum five years experience in a HIGH VOLUME, full-service restaurant.
-Ability to communicate with guests, employees and vendors in a clear, concise and expert manner.
-Knowledge in all aspects of BOH operations.
-Ability to work under pressure, in stressful situations.
-Ability to maintain and improve controllable costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.
-Available to work flexible schedules that include weekends, evenings, some holidays.
-Catering experience a plus.
-Candidates for this position should have a strong sense of hospitality, be detail-oriented and have the ability to work as a TEAM.
