SEEKING: Caregivers for an 84-year old bedbound patient with dementia. Caregivers should have or want to gain experience caretaking for an older individual in a personal and professional setting. Caregivers will train with patient’s daughter and must be able to pass Virginia criminal background check. Duties will include serving 2 meals per day, administering medicine daily, changing diapers, giving baths and weekly laundry and sheet changes.
ABOUT THE PATIENT: Ms. Bonnie has late-stage dementia but still maintains her sense of humor and straight-forward nature. She mostly watches TV from a hospital bed at home. Her mobility and strength are extremely limited, making her unable to get out of bed or use a toilet. She weighs 150 pounds.
SHIFTS: Part-time schedule available, 6 hours per day Monday through Sunday, 3-4 days per week, shift start time flexible but after 11am during the week.
SETTING: Residence in Great Bridge, Chesapeake
PAY: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience. Bi-weekly pay, W-4 enrolled position.
