Overview:
We have an upcoming prevailing wage project at Naval Station Norfolk and are urgently seeking hardworking masonry laborers to join our team. Qualified candidates who can pass a background check can earn 16.08 / hr
We are looking for motivated individuals with experience in construction or masonry labor. Candidates will assist skilled masons in tasks such as material handling, mixing mortar, setting up scaffolding, and general site preparation. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environment while following direction from the foreman.
Responsibilities:
Assist masons by preparing and transporting materials like mortar, block, and tools.
Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Mix mortar and grout to required consistencies.
Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and organizing materials.
Adhere to all site safety guidelines and company standards.
Requirements:
Must pass a background check and obtain a badge for base access.
Reliable transportation is required.
Previous experience in construction or masonry labor is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and construction site operations.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
