Job Description
HILLCO Disposal is seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills and experience operating larger trucks, including rear-load garbage trucks, dump bed trucks as well. Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily junk removal operations:Supervise and coordinate a team to ensure efficient removal of residential, commercial, and industrial junk.
Drive and operate trucks:Safely operate larger trucks, including rear-load garbage trucks, dump bed trucks as well ensuring compliance with all local and federal driving regulations.
Maintain equipment:Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Customer service:Interact with clients professionally to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
Training and coaching:Provide on-the-job training to crew members to ensure the team performs tasks efficiently and safely.
Schedule and logistics:Assist in planning daily routes, ensuring optimal timing and fuel efficiency.
Safety compliance:Enforce company safety policies, perform regular safety audits, and ensure crew members wear appropriate safety gear.
Qualifications:
Experience:Minimum of 1 years of experience in junk removal, waste management, or a similar industry. Proven experience with larger vehicles, including rear-load garbage trucks, is required.
Leadership skills:Previous leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Physical fitness:Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Communication skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving skills:Ability to think on your feet, manage unexpected issues, and provide solutions quickly.
Safety awareness:Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices for safe operation in waste removal and truck driving.
