Help Wanted: Wheelchair Ramp Installer
Pick up truck / trailer / large SUV for hauling large ramps highly recommended! Paid per job layout (price per linear foot) - up to $60/HR when fully trained on ramp install.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wheelchair Ramp Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing accessibility ramps for residential and commercial properties.
We also install stairlifts and VPLs. We will get you trained on these installations as well, if you have a background in mobility installs that is a large plus!
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and assess installation sites accurately
- Install wheelchair ramps to meet ADA compliance standards
- Operate necessary tools and equipment safely
- Prepare installation sites and ensure proper ground preparation
- Conduct quality checks to ensure ramp stability and safety
- Interact professionally with customers and team members
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or carpentry
- Strong understanding of accessibility requirements
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
- Reliable transportation (pick-up truck or trailer preferred for handling large pallets and materials)
- Basic carpentry and measurement skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in accessibility ramp installation
- Previous experience with disability access solutions
- Familiarity with various ramp materials (wood, aluminum, concrete)
