Job description

Our team is in need of a full-time Painter and Make Ready Technician to join us. The candidate will be responsible for rehabbing and painting single and multi-family dwellings with team members. Most of our work focuses on interiors of units after residents move out and before new renters move in. However, we are occasionally in need of exterior painting work, which may require working safely at heights. We're looking for experienced Painters who understand the industry best practices and apply them to every aspect of their work. We offer competitive compensation based on experience, and some benefits after a probationary period. We provide a company vehicle during the work day, and necessary tools and materials.

Responsibilities

-Paint the interiors of apartments, condos, townhomes, other multi-family dwellings, and single family homes as required

-Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adherence

-Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using caulk guns or putty knives

-Remove fixtures such as doorknobs, switch and receptacle covers, and other items prior to painting, and reinstall upon completion.

-Work with other team and construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to prepare units for lease

-Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping

-Collaborate with team members on jobs

-Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner

-Match paint samples for touch-ups and other small projects

-Accurately complete daily progress reports and material needs reports in a timely and efficient manner

-Keep accurate inventory of supplies and materials

-Clean all equipment including but not limited to brushes and spray guns

-Keep assigned company vehicle clean and in good working order

-Skills High school diploma/GED preferred

-1+ years' residential or commercial painting experience required

-Reliable transportation to office, and good driving record

-Ability to complete projects on-time and on-budget

-Excellent communication and team-building skills

-Motivated individual

-Experience with airless spray guns is a plus

-Punctual

-Basic Handy Man skills are necessary too.

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday
