SUMMARY
Global Management Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a Maintenance Trades Helper for Chesapeake, VA. The type of work the maintenance trades helper is expected to perform may vary from trade to trade. In some trades, the helper is expected to lift and holding materials and tools as well as cleaning areas and in others, the helper is expected to perform specialized machine operations. The Maintenance Trades Helper is also intermittently expected to perform parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades
Maintains tools and materials supply
Cleans work area, machines and/or equipment
Assists workers by holding materials or tools or performing other tasks as directed
Other duties as assigned

Job is performed on a Navy base. 50 - 75% of work will be outside.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
