Transload Operator
US Rail & Logistics is looking for transload operators in Virginia Beach, VA. The position requires the loading and unloading of railcars/trucks, operate machinery, and general terminal maintenance. This is an outdoor, physical labor, fast paced position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate equipment such as a mobile conveyor, skid steer, forklift, jokey truck and other equipment.
Safety operate and switch locomotives and railcars.
Perform general maintenance of equipment such as greasing, changing oil, filters, and belts.
Perform terminal maintenance and general housekeeping activities when needed.
Perform appropriate pre-shift workplace and equipment examinations along with proper safety briefings.
All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
REQUIREMENTS
Safety - Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
This position requires climbing, working from heights, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
