Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Norfolk, VA On-Site)

Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Cisco Unified Communications Manager in Norfolk, VA! This will be a Long Term Contract supporting one of our Major Government Clients! Key skill sets the client will be looking for are hands-on experience configuring CUCM, CUCS, VCS, and MCU platforms. Pay: $40-$50 / an hour

Contract: Long Term Contract with high possibility of extension or re-up

Mandatory Needs :

  • Eligible for a Secret Clearance (We can "Sponsor you for a Secret Clearance")
  • Sec+CE
  • CCNA (Within 6 Months)


Job Summary (NOT ALL REQUIRED):
  • Configure/Troubleshoot CUCM Phone registration/communication on the NMCI network.
  • Configure/Troubleshoot CUCM options (i.e., SIP Trunks/Translation Patterns/Route Patterns/Calling Search Spaces)
  • Configure/Troubleshoot VCS Options (i.e., Traversal Zones/Search Rules/Zones/Neighbor Peering)
  • Configure/Troubleshoot CUCS Options (i.e., Voice Mail Boxes/Voice Mail Profiles/Port Groups)
  • Configure/Troubleshoot MCU Options (i.e., Conference Creation/Bridge Cascading/Scheduling/)
  • Remotely configure/troubleshoot VTC endpoints network registration/communication
  • Monitor IP Phone/VTC/MCU usage, latency, jitter, and total units in use
  • Manage direct deployment of telepresence endpoint devices (i.e., VTC's, IP Phones, MCU's) to ensure successful installation
  • Understand usage/implementation of the Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) in UC environments
  • Understand configuration/functions of the Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) in UC enterprise operations
  • Schedule/maintain conference calls utilizing the Cisco MCU platform
  • Maintain knowledge of all service platforms utilized, as well as accompanying processes and procedures
