Armed Security Guard with current DCJS registration
We are currently hiring one (1) Part-time Armed Security Officer. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends. The officer would be needed to guard a shopping center in Norfolk, VA. Duties will include foot patrols around the shopping center protecting shoppers and merchants and deterring any acts of shoplifting or loitering.
This position is 15 hours/week, but the hours are very flexible. The weekly schedule is 5pm to 10pm three random days each week that the officer can choose to work within their own schedule.
Benefits, including health insurance, are offered to any employee who works at least 30 hours/week. This position may eventually become full time.
Applicants MUST already have their Armed DCJS registration hard card in hand.
Candidates must also possess a valid drivers license and have a CLEAN driving record. Candidates must also successfully complete a criminal background check. Applicants who have been convicted of a felony offense or serious misdemeanor are not eligible to apply.

Qualifications :
At least 21 years of age or older
Authorized to work in the US
Have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must already have a valid DCJS registration and, if applicable, a valid firearms endorsement
Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Pass a criminal background check
Have a clean driving record - no accidents in the past 3 years or any major traffic violations (i.e. DUI's reckless driving, etc.)
