Job Summary
We are a locally owned collision repair shop in Norfolk, VA. We're growing fast and looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. Duties
Perform body repair on vehicles including panel replacement, metal finishing, filler work and fit/finish alignment.
Disassemble and reassemble vehicles efficiently and accurately.
Communicate with estimators and painter to ensure proper repair procedures and quality standards are met.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
Follow OEM repair procedures and shop safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain positive working relationships with other team members.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of collision repair experience preferred but all applicants will be considered.
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive repair.
Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, and working with sheet metal.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
Experience in auto estimating is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of modern repair techniques, body materials and tools.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
I-car or ASE certifications are a plus (but not required)
