We are looking to hire a full time skilled brick mason. We as a company specialize in replacing cracked bricks, cracked mortar and lintel replacements on commercial and residential properties. We also offer masonry and hardscape services. We are a licensed, insured and a local family owned company. We were established in July 2015 and have been serving the community for nearly a decade. GBR has over 120+ reviews with a 4.7 star rating. We are a brick repair company that offers masonry services. Meaning most of our projects are repointing and lintel replacements. Which may require less masonry and more labor techniques to complete projects. We take pride in our 4 core company values; being ethical, efficiency, communication and punctuality. We have our own company trucks , tools and materials for each technician to complete scheduled projects. Pay: $25 a hr / weekly pay
Work Week: Monday - Friday. Mandatory 2 Saturdays out of the month
Time: 6:30am - 3:00pm
Location: 999 Waterside Drive, Norfolk VA 23510
Position: Full Time
Must Have Requirements:
1. Valid VA Drivers License
2. Good to decent driving record
3. 5 years of masonry experience at a reputable company
4. Pictures of before and after of your own work
5. Working smart phone
Must Have Skill Requirements:
1. Repointing
2. Replacing lintels
3. Build masonry structures such as mailboxes, steps, porches, columns, bricking in openings, brick and concrete pavers.
4. Cutting out bricks
5. Grinding out mortar
6. Pour concrete footers for brick work
7. Measure masonry layouts and properly set up
8. Ability to demo
9. Ability to build scaffolding
10. Ability to mix mortar
11. Ability to use saw and other power tools
12. Knowledge of matching bricks and mortar
13. Ability to lift over 70lbs consistently throughout the day
14. Ability to relearn or newly learn new masonry techniques
