Inlet Construction Inc. is now hiring full time positions for EQUIPMENT OPERATORS, PIPELAYERS, TAIL MEN, BANK MEN and LABORERS.
Equipment Operators must have 5+ years of underground utility experience. Looking for Excavator and/or Loader Operators.
REQUIREMENTS: Perform the installation of water main, sanitary sewer main and storm drains. 40+ hours of work per week. May require Saturday/Sunday/Night work. Applicant must be able to lift 50+ pounds and have the ability to push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
TASKS/SKILLS:
-Perform tasks in conformance to the appropriate safety and security standards
-Perform the labor as part of the crew to ensure the job gets completed
-Install pipe for water main, sanitary sewer main, and storm drains
-Pipe conditions, new installations and repair work
-Align and position pipe for installation
-Connect pipe and seal joints using bolted connections, cement or glue
-Cover pipe with earth or other materials; cut pipe to required lengths
-Dig trenches to depth by hand or using trenching tools
-Grade and level trench using hand tools and tamping machines
-Follows directions from supervisor and completes tasks without supervision
-Ability to supervise fellow employees as assigned in the field
-Manages and assesses the work in the field to keep the project on task
