Overview:
Cross Underground is actively hiring a motivated and experienced Hard Surface Restoration Foreman to lead a crew specializing in concrete and asphalt restoration. This role is critical to the launch of a new division, with the opportunity to grow into a Supervisor over multiple crews as we expand from one to six+ restoration teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily jobsite operations for restoration projects, including concrete driveways, aprons, sidewalks, handicap ramps, curbs, gutters, and patios.
Oversee asphalt patching, paving, and restoration (experience preferred, but we will train the right person).
Read plans, layout cuts, order materials, and complete restoration in compliance with city standards.
Operate equipment and tools safely: saw cutters, mixers, plate tampers, etc.
Supervise a small team while maintaining quality, efficiency, and jobsite cleanliness.
Communicate with inspectors, customers, and management clearly and professionally.
Perform winter/off-season duties like topsoil, seed, straw, and cleanup work to ensure year-round employment.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on concrete experience is required (driveways, sidewalks, curbs, etc.).
Asphalt experience is a plus but not required—we will train the right person.
Strong work ethic and leadership skills are a must.
Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required).
Willingness to grow with the company.
Reliable transportation to our Chesapeake shop (or optionally to Newport News laydown yard).
