Description Our client is in need of an experienced Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager. This role provides an opportunity to oversee general accounting functions and engage in a variety of tasks including payroll processing, grant activity tracking and reporting, and financial data reporting for both internal and external purposes. Responsibilities: Supervise general accounting functions such as tracking and reporting grant activity, payroll processing, and daily bank deposits Oversee the federal reimbursement process and ensure timely completion Maintain accurate financial records by exporting and importing payroll data into the General Ledger Supervise Senior Payroll Accountant and ensure consistent application of HR policies Monitor and track monthly activity to ensure compliance with restricted funding requirements Oversee data entry of purchased service and ensure accurate reporting of services Assist with budget preparation, audit data preparation, and report preparation Work with agency staff at all levels to ensure timely and accurate completion of payroll Coordinate multiple processes to ensure meeting of all federal, state, and internal deadlines Utilize data verification processes to maintain a high degree of accuracy in daily tasks Review and approve staff development forms and POs/payment documents Take responsibility for agency pool cars located at Bank Street to ensure accurate tracking of data, allocation of expenses, and proper maintenance Automate or enhance current processes for efficiency Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication and teamwork.OurRequirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Payroll Management Experience with General Ledger tasks and responsibilities Ability to create and manage Audit Reports Knowledge of General Accounting principles and practices Familiarity with Compliance regulations in accounting Understanding of GAAP Accounting standards Proficiency in Financial Analysis Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
