Our large healthcare client in Reston is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to play a vital role in a large member engagement initiative.

Responsibilities of the Principal Solution Architect:

• Develop architectural approach, design, and prototypes
• Lead architecture infrastructure concept discussions
• Evaluate technologies and tools, and proof of concept and prototypes
• Work with project and development managers to define and develop scope and plans

Requirements of the Principal Solution Architect:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 10 years of overall IT experience
• At least 6 years of integration experience with microservices, API management, Cloud, RDBMS, and big data platform
• At least 4 years of solution architecture or integration architecture experience
• Strong white-boarding and solutions architecture experience
• Knowledge of Java and streaming tools (Spring, Hibernate, Kafka, etc.)
• Strong experience in designing SOA and BPM-based applications
• Good understanding of architecture frameworks like Togaf, Zachman, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus
