DescriptionPurposeAssist the General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, and the Legal Department with research, drafting, document preparation, contract review, and other duties.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Direction

Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes. Receive direction on all aspects of assignments, specific tasks and how to execute. Work is thoroughly reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles.

At the Operational and Company Level

Interact with multiple departments and individuals within the organization.  

Do the Work

Assist in the preparation of legal documents with guidance.

Conduct legal research and draft memorandums with recommendations and guidance.

Assist with reviewing client contracts and revisions to Company terms and conditions.

Review contracts and make edits and recommendations.

Attend meetings, take notes, identify legal issues, and recommend solutions.

Plan, organize, and prioritize work as directed by supervisor.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure/Certifications, and Technical Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.

Currently enrolled in accredited law program pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, with at least one (1) year completed.

Basic knowledge of using Westlaw for legal research preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in regulatory research preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Environment

Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.

Mobility around an office environment.

Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.

Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.

Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
