Position: Contract Administrator

$105K/yr to $115K/yr

Location: Fairfax, VA - Hybrid - 3 days remote / 2 days onsite

Security Clearance: Ability to Obtain Security Clearance Required

Position Description:

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in the dynamic world of federal government contracts?

As a Contract Administrator reporting to the Director of Contracts, you will be at the forefront of our mission to support both internal and external customers in managing the day-to-day administration of our company's contracts and subcontracts.

You'll ensure that we adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and customer/contract specifications.

The ideal candidate will have cradle-to-grave experience in administering federal government prime contracts and subcontracts, coupled with a keen eye for detail and the ability to excel independently in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

Contract Expertise: Manage Cost-Reimbursable, Time and Material, and Firm-Fixed-Price contracts with the U.S. Government and Department of Defense, particularly in the realm of research and development and production.

Regulatory Know-How: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of government contracting policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).

Negotiation Proficiency: Review contractual terms and conditions and provide analysis to support negotiation positions.

Collaboration: Engage regularly with Program Managers to address contractual needs, resolve issues, and ensure contract compliance.

Subcontracting: Support program subcontracting and consultant requirements, ensuring adherence to company and federal purchasing policies and requirements.

Compliance Focus: Familiarity with Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) and conducting subcontractor proposal analyses and justifications.

Agreement Management: Process and negotiate Non-Disclosure and Teaming Agreements.

Record Keeping: Maintain internal company contractual records and databases.

Analytical Skills: Analyze financial reports and technical documents to guarantee contractual compliance and adherence to schedules.

Strong Organizer: Display strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, effective time management, and critical thinking abilities to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Oversight: Pay close attention to detail to identify inconsistencies in contracts and provide advice on interpreting contractual requirements.

Team Player: Exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project objectives within set timelines.

Communication: Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers through strong written and verbal skills.

Tech Proficiency: Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Purchasing System Experience: Previous work within a government-approved purchasing system is advantageous.

Certification: NCMA Certified Contracts Management Professional (CPCM) or equivalent certification.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

3-5 years of federal contract administration experience.

Must have advanced MS Excel skills

Compensation:

Salary is between $105K/yr to $115K/yr. In addition to your annual salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus.
