Cloud Data Engineer
100% Remote
Candidates must be able to work on Apex W2 without sponsorship
Have experience on the different data platforms.
Cloudera/ Cloud Native services - familiar with AWS
Data analytic capabilities
Large data sets to bring into AWS
Help economist working with the data
Very Green Field: still determining tooling at this point. Engineers expected to help determine.
Data engineer:
- Native Cloud (AWS) - AWS Glue would be pref.
- Cloudera or similar (some lift & shift and some not)
- Experience Leveraging AWS native computing (parallel clustering OR HPC or others)
- Data analytics experience
- Data Lake and large data sets
- Greenfield environment so they can help determine the tools in many cases that will be used
- AWS Data focus is more important than Cloudera.
- Perform mapping of workloads from the current state Cloudera data lake to the target state AWS cloud
- Analyze existing workloads in Cloudera and select AWS tooling
- Support the mobilization of the new cloud platform
- Perform migration activities
- Cloudera/Hortonworks/Mapr/IBM Big Data is nice to have.
