8 1/2 in the Fan is an Italian takeout only restaurant serving made-to-order pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and more. We are part of the same family that runs other local classics such as Edo's Squid, Mamma Zu, and Dinamo. 8 1/2 in the Fan is a fast-paced, high volume restaurant and we are looking to add to our crew.
We are looking to hire a full time pizza cook and full time pasta cook 30-40 hours/week each. Shifts start at 3pm until close around usually between 10-11PM.
We are looking for someone who is:
-reliable
-trustworthy
-able to work nights/weekends
-able to learn and adapt quickly
-able to multitask
Pizza Cook duties include:
-preparing ingredients for cooking pizza
-learning to make pizza dough
-washing dishes
-cleaning/sweep/mop at the end of the night
Pizza cooks work with one other person and tasks are divided between each other.
Line Cook duties include:
-preparing ingredients for service
-cooking pasta/entree/soup orders using a stove and oven
-cleaning station and floors
-washing dishes
Pay starts at $15/hr + tips. Tips are pooled and divided between the crew which can add between $3-5/hour.
Looking for applicants with at least one year food preparation/line cook experience.
