Taco Vegana is hiring reliable, motivated, and experienced line cooks to join our team in Church Hill. Taco Vegana is a new 100% plant-based Mexican restaurant located in the Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond. Must have previous line cook experience and excellent communication skills, experience in Mexican restaurants is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of food
Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and dicing using knives and other kitchen tools
Handle and store food safely to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working in a restaurant kitchen
Experience with customer service
Comfortable standing for extended periods of time, able to lift up to 30 lbs
Experience working in Mexican restaurants is a plus
Experience working with vegan food is a plus
Base Pay is $15-20/hr, based on experience.
