Position Overview and Qualifications:
This position is for a full-time prep cook who is passionate about seafood and the culinary arts with a competent grasp of diverse cooking techniques. This role is integral to our market and kitchen operations, ensuring our high standards are met and that we continue to deliver a consistently excellent product.
1-2+ years professional kitchen experience
Good communication and time management skills
Capable of lifting 50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and interruptions
Full-time schedule availability including Saturdays
If you have your own sharp knives, that is a plus and says a lot about you and your skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in potentially hot conditions
What We Offer:
$18-22 per hour, depending on experience, paid bi-weekly
Full-time position, up to 40 hours per week
Paid Time Off (PTO)

Consistent days off, closed Sundays and certain major holidays
Your Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to…)
Proper handling, storage and receiving of all foods, supplies and goods.
Food prep and production as directed by the chef. You will be preparing dishes to sell in the retail portion of the market.
Ability to work with, prep for, re-supply, clean, sanitize and maintain all kitchen equipment and stations.
Inspect and taste all ingredients and preparations for quality control up to Shoreline standards as designated by chef.
Communicate with the owner, chef and other staff before, during and after shift.
Work in an organized, sanitary fashion, cleaning as you go and washing dishes as needed.
